The University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) will be host to the 43rd General Council and Festival of Faith.

Located in north Oshawa, ON, the campus is easy to reach by car or transit:

For Council Attendees/Commissioners

Council attendees are responsible for arranging their own travel and accommodations. A block of rooms has been reserved at UOIT for registered attendees. Meals are included for most registered attendees.

A shuttle service from the Oshawa GO train station will be available Friday, July 20, and Saturday, July 21, running every 30 minutes between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Getting Here by Car

Located about an hour east of Toronto, UOIT is easy to get to via Highway 401. Parking is available onsite.

From the west on Hwy. 401

  • Travelling east on Hwy. 401, take exit 417 Simcoe St.
  • Turn north on Simcoe St. and travel for approximately 8 km to Conlin Rd.
  • UOIT will be on your left.

From the east on Hwy. 401

  • Travelling west on Hwy. 401, take exit 418 Ritson Rd./Simcoe St.
  • The exit becomes Drew St. Drive north on Drew for 100 m.
  • Turn left at the lights onto First Ave. Drive west on First Ave. for 500 m.
  • Turn right onto Simcoe St., and north for approximately 7.5 km to Conlin Rd.
  • UOIT will be on your left.

Getting Here by Public Transit

The UOIT campus is accessible via GO Transit, with connections to Durham Region Transit, the Toronto Transit Commission, and the UP Express at Pearson Airport.
